Review by hotel critic
Nestled between Nes village and the North Sea beach, Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Noordsee-Ameland is a haven for leisure travelers, especially families. The 98 comfortable rooms, each with a balcony or terrace, offer a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the island.During my stay, the friendly staff made us feel at home, ensuring the rooms were impeccably clean and well-furnished. The spacious bathroom with a bath or shower was a luxurious touch, adding to the comfort of our accommodation. We indulged in regional and international dishes at Restaurant Mr Sandman, where local products like Ameland yogurt and cheese were beautifully incorporated into the menu. The restaurant's welcoming ambiance and delicious meals made every dining experience a delight. The property's indoor pool, Finnish sauna, and Turkish steam bath provided a relaxing escape, perfect for unwinding after a day of cycling or hiking along the island's scenic paths. The cozy fireplace in the lobby added a touch of warmth to our evenings, creating a homely atmosphere. From the attentive service to the comfortable amenities, this hotel truly offers the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration on the picturesque island of Ameland.
